wow, just got back on this site after being absent for a good couple of years (01 I think was when I last owned a vw product, getting the itch again....especially after this thread) and read all 15 pages of your thread this morning.  Absolutely incredible.  Trials and tribulations.  Pure soul in your car man.  If you sell that thing, you are NUTS!

 Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

...believe it or not,we welded the hub back on a while ago and she's been sitting since I broke it figuring out what I wanna do with her knowing full well what it took to build it I was just disgusted...

but this week end I had my first "out of new england shows" in Jersey, the Flanders show. we grabbed a best of show and a class win...man somebody freakin slap me...what am I f--in stupid?

I'm working on some $$ and talking with Folts now for next year having a trans.

Bruce S. from Hot Vw's at the Flanders show and opted to snap a couple of photos of the 'ol pig...the lighting was awesome and on a industrial pavement back ground just looked sick!!...unbelievable!!! somebody pinch me.

thanks for all the comments, suggestion and plain old slaps in the faces guys..it's great to be part off a community that understands these silly cars and the way they hook us in to build something a little different.

Great job Tim and Cindy!  I would say I'm surprised, but I'm not  Grin  How was that show?  Looked like it would have been a good one to go to, but my schedule did not work out for that weekend.  How are you looking for the E-town event?  I'm planning on making it down there this year.  I will try and trailer the bug in case she lets go on the track.  I know you can't race the turbo beast, but how about the show?

Congrats X 1,000!! Man, I just found this thread tonight, and read from start to finish. You, my V-dub brother, have been through more crap with this ride than anyone could imagine!! I am so glad that you decided to stick it out. Even when you had or if you have thoughts in the future of selling " Your Baby" you can always spend a little time re-reading this thread, and you will come back to your senses REAL FAST! Your being able to live through all the crap you had to without ending up in prison is unbelieveable!! I am the proud owner of my very 1st VW, a 56 that I purchased in 1975, but I never went through anything close to what you have delt with over the past few years. By the way, I can't wait till my new Hot VW's arrives!!!! Grin

Congrats Tim!!!!!!!!  What a long road.  How's that tranny coming along?

I heard about the shoot from you a while back but then forgot which issue it was going to be in.  Then a guy here at work (Jason, you met him at Terryville last year, needs paint work done on his '55 btw) told me he got his copy the other day, so I'm heading to the news stand for my copy.  I should never have let my subscription run out!

waiting on getting caught up in the shop/cash first..hell knows we have plenty of time before the weather hits...got the axle ends sorted out,a donor trans and having MSE make me up some new shift rods...the only thing left is a diff...probably end up going to a super diff and be done with it.

thanks...car looked good in the mag.
