Let me know if you guys do come down to the VW race at E-town or if you want to test. I'll figure out the best day to get the most runs and we can all have some fun

Car looks great Tim!!
I can't wait to see the car in action.
It's possible I may be able to stop out next weekend if you'll be around. If I do, is there anything you want me to bring out?
Tim

Yeah, "not really a show car" but will win all the N.E. shows, you can bet on that. Turbo Punk - if you are really going to make it to Tim's shop next weekend, let me know here on the forum, or have Tim call me. I'll head up there too since I have been trying to get up there anyway. We could do a few beers and .... maybe a spin in the rocket ship? ?

we can certainly do the beers and food. bu the car is trapped here in 12" of snow with now enclosed trailer to get it to the shop. still need a starter, oil lines and a manual boost controller.

Snow What is that? I haven't seen any of that since I last looked outside.... too bad . At least you don't have to rush and can work on those customer cars and make those dollas . I do really like the early Spring ride down south though. It will all be weather permitting of course, but what a great way to kick off the season eh? Tire smoke instead of blowin smoke at the "dust off" in Mansfield I'd better get moving on my motor freshining. Tim, is there anyone local that can re-coat my header with ceramic? Its in need of serious help, but the base metal is still in good shape. I did a lot of grinding on the inner welds for flow and I don't want to get a new one. Lemme know, I gotta go get another beer now...

Yeah? Cool, I was thinking black would be good for the header too, kinda tie in the black BRMs and the Berg shifter to the color scheme.
WTF is up with all the snow??? I had to go try XC skiing on Sunday to try and get out of the house, it was fun and now I'm sore. Never been on skiis before, I'm an AZ kid ya know.
And that makes 300 posts folks! I thought I'd post it here cause I like ya so much Tim.... your welcome!
And now back to my black and tans...........................

That sounds way awesome, but I have no life or time to do anything that fun Keep in mind also, I will be down in Tucson Arizona March 17-24th if you want me to look at any parts or cars out there for ya. AZ has primo steel and good solid complete cars available pretty regularly. I'm just there visiting family so scouting cars here and there is very do-able. I will be in Tucson and Prescott, so you could look for stuff in those areas if you need parts or cars. Just a thought...

Count me in for shotgun on that trip! Hell, I'll even ride in the back of the truck like the old dawg that I am! Always wanted to see some cast-away old dubs that aren't plant-food to start off with! Not like the seedy beasts around here...screen doors have less holes! ha ha

Tim,
Really nice job. Get a camera with video and sound and get some footage. Yu don't always need a video camera per say. I have a Sony digital about 3 years old that will take video to the flash card. Find someone and take an in car, and you doing a nice burnout!
It really looks nice with that stance a bit lower than I would care to drive but nice nonetheless. Have a blast and don't get pulled over.
That thing sure would look better with a bikini clad princess draped over the back side (•) (•), Sorry "C" didn't mean any harm or disrespect. (LOL). Vida Guerra maybe? Livin' the Low Life ;b

nah she'll probably want some busty college chick from South Kingston's URI draped over it!! ...got a vid thingy but we haven't had the best weather..been sooo damn cold it's crazy!!! today was 13 degrees..those pics were taken last thursday,it was 36. ...sat/sun are supposed to be in the upper 40's...hopefully we'll grab a vid then. sounds l=kiler with the dynotech 3" muffler. ..ride height it shady but that's were she sits...any higher in the rear the wheels bow out...like a swing with no motor...to get the right rake the front needs a dump like you see...the frame head has been raised and pie cut so it won't snag the beam or lower shock mounts...not to bad gotta say..the only thing that makes me a little nervous is the oil cooler on the bottom..there is NO room in this car..you would think there would be enough being a gutted chassi car but with the tin work and such she's tight.... Fan-freaking-tastic!!!!!!!!!!!! That car looks awesome! Can I get a Hot VWs photo shoot please? East Coast represents with one bad ass bug no matter what your zip code is! Congrats on being "done" (we all know that you will never be done with this car, I mean c'mon, its Tim, but at least its first build is complete!) Its totally unique and freshly done, are you putting it in the Maratta show this weekend? If so I'm there, if not, I think I may have to take a ride up there on Sunday to witness the video and maybe be the one in the picture with the sh** eat'n grin.... Oh Luis..... we have a problem here..... who is going to park next to Tim at the shows this year?

I'll join in at the track, just let me know when and where! I can add another 125-130 hp to the mix, wowee That would be a great day, I could hold the camera on the start line to record your launches. Actually it is my goal this year to get a 13.99 out of my N/A 1915 motor and stock gears... Watch out for wet roads Tim, its misty this morning in CT. Maratta's show was kinda lame this year, no dubs at all and only a few real bada$$ cars. My daughter liked it though, she got a Geico lizzard face on a stick and had a blast all day with that thing

Tim, the car looks awesome. Has a great stance to it and the color is great. I hope she runs as good as she looks.
And if it hooks up, better have Pete help you with some wheelie bars. Let me know when you get to the track.
