Tim, how was that desert air for ya buddy?  Did you get the dry crusties in your nose?  Did you stay on the strip area or did you venture out to see other parts of Nevada?  Wasn't it fun coming back home to dark and cold New England? Grin

it was a high of 60 and a low of 49...prettymuch the same as New England...go figure. RI has a little different weather than Conn and the rest as it's 70% coast line so the ocean affects us alot so I don't feel half of the effects as you and Mass. I guess I'm the San Diego of the north east ey? Grin

we stayed at Paris and stayed out pretty much every night and still made the show every morning...never left the stip though...that wil be another time...maybe a trip to Ca. next year from Vegas.
nice to put a face to the avatar Dom. pleasure meeting you dude...when I get out there sometime,I will llook you up.

there won't be much updates if any at all...got a lot of work here still and more coming...body work and rust takes alot out of ya. Cool, so I brought her home for the winter months to make room at the shop. maybe in late Feb/Mar. I'll kick her in the pants and get it on the road..once the weather clears and extra money gets put in the bank again.

but no worries my freinds, there will be a vid of start up and one soon to follow in the parking lot next to my shop...let's just say I plan on hanging the rear out through 3 gears...maybe in a circle or straight we'll have to see..

I have issues.

Now that is funny  Cheesy

I plan to be in Tucson visiting the family in March '09, provided there is still air travel at that point, and I still have a job Roll Eyes.  I try and get back west every 2 years or so.

Glad to hear you had a good time.  You and Cindy derserved the break from the norm, even if it means the work piles up!

I like the strip in the day time during the week when there are less people.  You can cruise from casino to casino and get that quick free beer by just sitting down and plopping a quarter in a machine.  Once you get that free beer, head on to the next place, but finish the first beer before you head into the next casino.  Then its hello quick free beer agian!  I understand why, but it still blows my mind how you can get a free beer on the casino floor, and yet if you want to sit in the bar that same beer costs you 8-9 bucks! Shocked  Maybe I'm just a cheap drunk, but its a fun way to spend an afternoon!

well here it is...we worked the better part of 2 weeks on this thing...pretty much 80% done.

this is it's first vrgin start up...I forgot to turn on the fuel pump and put the 2 step in and pill in the wrong slot so it would only rev up to 3k before it breaks up...(had in the high rev slot instaed of the line loc)..figured that out then I couldn't get it to turn over again due to the starter I got was a little tired...an IMI hi torque is needed I'm sure..being the fact there is no miles on the trans or motor she's very tight. you can hear her turning over slowly then it lit right of.

nasty sounding girl.

here's some updated pics from our adventure these last 2 weeks.

..yes that's a real 1976 inspection sticker...the difference with this car is 60% is recycled and refurbished used parts...I wnted to keep the cost low so I could spend more money on the things that count, motor, trans fuel system etc.

you too Brian...yes we will have a new vid once I grab a starter...it's cold out here and I'm sure that ain't helping..I was told that it could be dragging too much through the clutch so I unhooked it completely and still hard to turn.

what's the back space on the wheels?

Looks like my project with 235/60s on a 3" shortened axle will be just about perfect...

keep it up!

3.5"...it used to have convo pro's when I bought it...split in the middle 8's with a 4" back space, they looked like donuts!!...the fenders were also mounted the standard way, dzus tabs and fasteners and higher cut into the old body (pro-mod style) so they were'nt too bad. but with the new body and a different mounting design they looked stupid. so I was able to put 10" rears on her
