So, My buddy and  I were at the swap meet in columbus ohio today, and a lady from accross the street came in to the swap meet area with just two of these "beetle Bags" Luggage containers, and some hubcaps. The first guy on the scene ended up buying them, and I ended up offering him 20 bucks more than he payed for them, and ended up with them in my possession.

So after talking to several people throughout the show, Nobody has seen or heard of these things before.  I have no idea of their worth, and I would like to find any info i can on them. The only thing ive found is just a entry in the samba dictionary, that says "2 or 3 piece luggage sets that are contoured to fit in the trunk (on top of the gas tank) and package area (behind the rear seat) of 1960 - 1966 beetles.  They were a dealer option made by Cascade Plastic in Spokane, WA."

They basically fit under the hood section, on top of the gas tank. they are perfectly fitted to sit in there just right.

Anyone have any info on these? I think they are super cool.

any idea of the value? I am kind of torn, as I could really use some funds to keep my project going, but at the same time, they are soo darn cool i kinda wanna keep them.

well, i decided to sell, after someone offered me 350 for them. I paid 120 for them at the swap, so i decided the cash would go a lot further on my bug than the bags would!

Word to the wise, if you see these for sale under 200 bucks, buy em!
