That's an Awesome project Cool First,I know my Laser 917 isn't even close to a real Porsche 917 Shocked but from a distance  Grin to an untrained eye Roll Eyes I just love driving it Cool It handles like a gokart but not as stiff as one might think, and it's my daily driver, evewhere I go people ask me "what is it" and I try to tell them, some guys at Car shows know the real 917's but only a hand full, All the kids like it Grin Most are shocked it was made from 1970-72 it's so Futuristic looking and only a 1000 were produced, Mine's #25 and I have three or four engines I can stick in it 2332,1915 and currantly a 1641 all with  dual webers and a single carbed 1641 Milage motor, best so far was 62.5 mpg but the tires were so skinny looked sick Undecided I'm running the 1641 w/40 IDF's and 010 dist.w/points ,W110 cam, stock heads merged w/stinger,flull flow 1 1/2 sump, and 4:12 .089 4th 26' tall rear 295 50 15's on 12" wide "looks alot better Cool" and getting 25-32 mpg 80-70mph I'd get better mileage But........... "I Can't Drive 55"
