Here you will see 3 differant cars. My blue bug started the day with no motor. But Vintage Performance delivered it to the track at  9:15 a.m sunday morning, I plugged it in and made three runs. First pass was easy, second I hammered it and third, I let the clutch out and the motor reved but she went almost nowhere. So lost the round but now we know to hange the clutch package.
My dad also started the day with an out af adjustment clutch but we fixed that. He went to the semi finals in the bucks class and got his entry money back.
The orange turbo car of Tim qualified in Quick 8 and was fighting wheelstand and pulling issues from the line. He made it to the finals in Quick 8 and got doused by a water cooled guy who went 9.54.  Anyhow,  here are the videos

First pass on new motor. Shut down at 1000 foot after easy launch

I am not sure how much the rivera's weigh or how leight of a wheel you would put on there. But unsprung weight savings are huge apparently. Thats why some people don't even run tubes in tires.

Hey Scott,  I was planning on getting some different rims but ran out of $$.  I have the get the car of the line better . Wheels and rear disc brakes are in the near future. My car is making enough of power . The hard right is soaking up about a full second . Well maybe not that much. But there is some time loss for all that wondering around.

The orange car with me in it was tipping the scales at 1780lbs  . I bet we could loose 50lbs with a rim change?
