This guy made an in car video of himself racing his Rustang at Irwindale Thursday night.
Guess who they made him race?Huh??
Frank Estrada!!!!!! HAHAHAHAHAHHA    Shocked
Listen carefully and look at him gesturing his displeasure of having to race the bug to the official.
The guy THEN posted the vid on Streetfire!  LMAO!
Frank got WAY loose and just flat out SMOKED the guy! I LOVE this video!!!!!

I nominate this for video of the year!
Nice run Frank!

That was a squirrley run... Had to get off of it in 3rd and then get back in it.  Got out of the groove and started to drift towards the wall.  That run was two weeks ago.  I ran into that guy last night and he mentioned that he had videotaped the run, but neglected to say that he wasn't willing to race me Grin  Well last night was just as much fun, and I had put a 69 NOva tubbed with a big block in the rear view position.  The V-8's  are definitely starting to take notice of the VW's.... Like Marty said...."OWNED!!!!"  Thanks for the post Marty... It was fun watching it..BTW, my ProMOd car has officially left Jimmy's and is now in the hands of Roger at Heads Up.  He said that it will only take two days to get ready...Can't wait..

Kinda reminds me of NHRA when they have an onboard camera in a funny car, he spins the tires, and all of a sudden the guy in the other lane launches past him like a rocket.  That's classic.

Here ya' go. Also edited a bit, to remove the cars running before the VW versus 'Stang (~3.2MB).

Alternate link w/copy that won't disappear - http://media.putfile.com/Spanked-Stang

Direct link (right click and choose "Save Target As...") - http://uploadfile.putfile.com/videos/21700243211.wmv

MAN!  I'm still giggling   Grin Grin Grin.

Talk about some inspiration!.  It's 1:05 am Sunday...and I've been at it for about 13 hrs up till now.  I'm going to break my turbo motor in later on today.  Stuff like this makes all the pain, cursing, suffering, and patience worth it IMHO.

Marty, thanks for diggin that up.

I gotta go watch that again...

nice.

I don't think they will let you run your Pro-Mod against the street cars at Irwindale. You might be exhibition only.

Nice run..

No he isn't.  He just wanted to run against his buddy behind him.

I don't know why you guys are all giddy about this, it's not much of an acomplishment for a turbo'd, wheelie bar'd, slick'd, full drag bug to beat a totally stock production car.

Hey Bruce, what are you running?  Maybe you have something that will give me some competition?  Smack talking is easy on the internet, walk the talk.  No one here said I whooped a 9 second Stang.  It was just comedic that the guy was throwing a slight fit, that's all... If you have something faster than the "production car " bring it.  Go have  another glass of prune juice....and lighten up(literally)  Roll Eyes

There you go Dan.... Start them off young getting to like the bugs, so that way when they can drive, they won't want a $20k plus rice burner.  Glad you and the kids enjoyed it...  Grin

It was good to hear the turbo, then see the bug blow by him. If my kids see this, its hairdryer time for sure.
