Here is a picture I took yesterday as a friend towed my bug for me to a friends shop. I love this trailer. It was custom made for a lifted golf cart. It has a tilt bed - with shocks - so when you push the car onto the trailer, it slowly levels out and doesn't BANG!  Really nice.  Tows like a charm.  I wish I could have a trailer like this.

The cage should be done Monday or Tuesday. Just did a simpe loop, door side bars and two to the luggage tray.  Guy does nice work.

I was going to paint the cage - but now I think I am going to get the hammer tone finish done on it..

Once the bug is back - body gets blasted (the rest of it) and body works starts!  Hope to have it painted by fall!!

I will. I hope to have the car back tomorrow! (Friday).  I told the guy to "take his time" and he is.. which is ok.. cause I wasn't in a hurry.

But once I get it back.. I will take some pictures!

Udate - cage should be done around Tuesday.  He has had a ton of orders for Rhino cages to be done. I told him to those 1st since he is helping me out.

Well, I got it back lastnight.  Fits nice! Everything is welded to the body. The body can be lifted off the pan and the cage goes with it. Where it mounts to the body has all be reinforced.  This guy did a great job!!  More pictures coming soon!  I took this picture this morning as I was leaving for work..

What I really like about this cage, is that you can not really see it if you are next to it, looking in from the side.. it's almost hidden.
Also, allows for all factory seats! Smiley

It cost me an 18 pack of Miller Light belive it or not.. and I am doing a web site for his company.  This is going to be a real "ONE OFF" cage - cause he does cages and stuff for Yamaha Rhino's and such.  He did this for me as a favor.

No tie in points to the pan or to the frame horns? Huh

When the body and the pan meet for the final time and stay put - the cage will be bolted from underneath the pan to the front bars, and the main loop.

good choice tieing the cage to the body-  Thats the way I had mine done as well -Makes more interior room and you dont have to spread the body over the cage when you want to take it off.  Ive got some pics of how we flanged the back and front bars to the bulkhead and torsion housing if you are interested
