Well since the compression will be higher in the new motor, we plan on starting with a mild tune and monitoring it as we build it back up to the same tune. I have to buy bigger solenoids with bigger ports if I want to try bigger jets. We should be ready with the bigger motor by Sac with some testing before then.

Hey just watched all the video's good stuff like to see the progression. What setup do you have on your NOS? Are you running a timer/controller? Do you have 1 set of solenoids(NOS, FUEL)for each carb? If its not controlled by timer do you leave the starting line on the juice? Do you run a Timing retard switch? Do you have an RPM switch or do you have double/triple check system for the NOS to activate? Clutch pedal, full throttle micro switch?
Thanks looks good Buster John!

Thats making some power. I especially like the last video because the tint to the picture makes it look like a vintage 16mm cam shot. You could tell everyone you were running those numbers back in 66, lol.

Even has a little red line running down the center of the pic.

Hi Mel...it's just the basic NOS sportsman kit with one solenoid per carb. It is controlled by a button on the steering wheel but also goes through a fuel pressure switch and throttle micro-switch...no timer or controller. I only have a start/retard box that retards the timing when hit the button. I hit it right off the line when I drop the clutch...I keep it real basic so I don't have control issues.

Here is the video when we put it on the dyno early last year with the small jets. I think it went 10.73 with the 22 jets. Made 248hp on the dyno sucking a screw in the motor and hurting a intake valve and seat. You should have see the guy running the dyno when he asked me what to take it up to and I told him 8500. He just said "What?" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r4qlACvCt7E&feature=relatedWe need to put it on the dyno agian to see what it is making with the big jets.

Cheers Greg Thats inspired me to try to get mine hooked up, everyone I know says I shouldn't use the nos in first gear but having seen this I will be . I am running 2 sets of solenoids but keeping it simple as well, no timers etc just a switch on the indicator arm. Will be running tests with 50 jets, about 25bhp first then hopefully progressivly upping the jets. Engine is 90.5 x 84, 10.1 compression, 42.5 and 37.5 valves, fk87, through a berg 5 do you run a bottle heater? I think I need one. All the best with this Al
