Cools shots on Rob's car.  Looks like a NA guy took down 2 turbo motors.  Way to go Rob.

I am running a 86X92, pretty much just like it did in the '80s. Fresh camshaft and cam gears. Rob and I went through it last year and I only got a few runs on it before the trans lost first gear at Indy. I thought that I snapped the gear as soon as the clutch was released, but after seeing the video I saw the tires spinning for about 8 feet. Tape always helps review the car.

Solex vs Solex.... I guess a Solex was going to win?

Consistent is what beat you, it looks like it was ETing better also in the video... at least in the 1/8 mile!   Cheesy  I bet you wouldn't think it is light if you measured the weight of his cage.  Shocked  I put one in so I know how heavy they are.

Just got it the other day.  This thing is killer.  I just love the graphics, all I have to do is match the light covers as they were not painted with the car  Cry.  As soon as I saw it I knew I was going home with it.  Just need to upgrade to some hp and I am good to go! Straight pimp OG ride!

PF, I have never seen one with rear bumpers. Wasn't there a Monster truck that was painted something like that? No really, I think anything light and fast is lots of fun to drive. Enjoy! I would love to find an old Buggy, first for my old man to drive and then for me to come up with someday.

My car weighed in at 1930lb.

Consistency is what beats all of us. He was in fact running better than i Saturday, hoewever, Friday night my overall times were better. Ability, air quality, and many factors play into how the day will pan out. I have been building VW's since 1990. This particular event was my first VW drag run and only the second time on the track. So i am learning.
My issue is not with him or his car. In fact we complimented one anothers cars in the staging area. I appreciate another Oval enthusiast. So my issue is not with him, his car, or even getting beat. It is with people that are inconsiderate that don't weigh out all of the details before they make comments.

Take care,

Sorry dude, I didn't mean to get your panties all bunched up.  Just giving Rob props for what I saw in the video.  I guess I didn't see your car on Friday night.

We already met.  Remember I came over and introduced myself when you guys first pulled in at Terre Haute?  You were still in the truck and Rob, Shane and I came over to tell you guys where the entrence to the race track was as we were over camping at the fair grounds.

What hardly anyone knows is Rob has been getting a lot of seat time and I knew he was going to be tough this year.  I was just giving him props for his hardwork that he has been doing this year. Sorry if it came across inconsiderate to you. Seat time and hard work makes you as consistent as he was.

I will be at the CB Performance shing ding.

Alright, I do remember now. Cool, no problem here....
Nothing wrong with Props man! We all need it and he definitely deserved it after a great day of racing. Looks like i am only going to have one more opportunity to get some seat time before Indy. Dont expect to win anything but defnitely looking to have fun. Is there going to be any quarter mile racing? eighth and quarter? Curious~~~~

Indy will be all 1/4.  I am going to try and make it up to Muncie with you and Shane if I can complete my car.  Also the way your car was MPHing in the 1/8, you need to go to IRP or O'Rieley or whatever it is called now on Tuesday night and run with those guys.  $15 and you should be able to get 6 - 10 runs in.
