Some Texas, New Mexico,Utah and Colorado cars are already checked into the hotel. As for Cali cars, you and possibly Kris Lauffer are the only ones willing to leave the great country of California. How did you get your passport? LOL.

I'd love to make it out there with my new street car this year, but I don't think I'll be able to make the trip   Cry  Maybe next year will be better.  Sorry Eric.  I love this event, definitely my favorite to attend and participate in, by far.  If anyone is sitting on the fence regarding running at this event, or is nervous about the altitude, make the trip.  The competition is great, but the camaraderie is awesome!

I'd love too, unfortunately his car is in the same state it finished in last year.  Case is still cracked, the motor sits on the garage floor, untouched.  He's pretty burned out as of late, unfortunately, and I can't risk blowing up my daily driver.

I would say rednecks are east of the Mississippi, but that's getting too technical for Granola guys!!  Actually my sewing machine is turbo charged at over 100 mph!

Hello guys
Glad everyone is coming out. Just a quick note about the track. They enforce helmet use for ever car down the track and in open style cars arm restraints that can hook into the belts. I have a few sets of spare arm restraints and maybe an old helmet or two if needed. Was at the track tonight and they are looking forward to the VWs coming out. A note on the pits. This track has rented pit space so we park along the return road. I Have talked to them about pit space that will keep us in some sort of a group along the return road. This will be a fun event and low key hanging out! Thanks to all.

Pitting along the return road was very cool......

If anyone is on the fence regarding this event, let me say it,s a BLAST, very casual atmosphere,
VERY Congenial Host, the local people are very friendly, (unlike some here in the Nazi sate of Kalifornia)
We,re Lookin forward to meeting some more new folks.... (Texans TOO)  Grin

Kris got me the hook up on some 'Mondo Jets",....  Jason is Bumping up the motor AGAIN as we speak......(88)
I cant say enough for the Folks at VWP, thats a whole different thread tho.........................

We,ll be lookin to take home another Plaque this year!  Cool

Paul

Thanks for being the California representative! It was so great to have you make the trip. It says alot about your passion! The BBQ, Breakfest and race fun is all about Westren Colorado hospitality. This race will continue that way in the future. Its about hanging with good friends.

I have to tell you that your car has a following here in Grand Junction now. The track guys were amazed how hard the car ran!

Thanks again and congradulations on the hardware...you earned it all! Glad you made it home safe!

Grand Junction was a pretty long haul for us too, but well worth the 13hr drive.

Thanks to Eric and the guys at KCW for dinner and for putting on such a fun event.

It was nice meeting everybody. See you next year.
