The new poster will look a little different from last years. This years event will be called Crusin the Beach & BBQ at Dockweiler Beach. The date will be December 27th, 2008. The time of the event will be 2:00pm to 10:00pm. Sponsors are still needed!!! Large logo sponsors on poster $100.00 & smaller logo sponsors or nicknames is $50.00. Payable to: Todd Arroyo, P.O. Box 3872, Seal Beach, CA 90740. The finished poster should be done late next week.  |

Two days after Christmas, a week before the New Year. Need to have one last event to start the New Year off right. This event is dedicated to Chuckz Rameriz who recently left us so early in his life  |

The final list must be turned into to the graphic artist department no later than this coming Sunday night  This is where I stress out until somebody off hand tells me that want to sponsor the event after the fact that the poster goes into production |

The actual address to the beach is: 8255 Vista del Mar, in the City of Playa del Rey. It is located at the end of the 105 West Fwy. Note: I was told that the police have been inforcing having a license plate on the front bumper. Doesn't matter how it is attached such as zip ties, home made bracket or anything that will work. Personally, I am going to attach mine with zip ties & when arriving back home, snip,snip with the needlenose pliers! |

Custom trophy's are in the second process stage & should be ready for pick-up no later than Monday.....I hope then off to another custom location for some more work & then off to the final location for the finishing touches An additonal trophy is also being made.....Look out for this one, don't want to miss this event. All in Memory of our beloved one "Chuckz" that was taken from us at an early age. Anybody that has a source of extra firewood, please feel free to bring it. Wrap up, it's going to be a cold one! Looking forward in having everybody get together & have fun & talk about good times & especially all the good things that 2009 has to offer everybody. Would like to personally Thank all sponsors for the donations. There was around sixty cars in total for all The day was perfect & you couldn't ask for any better weather & the sunset was breathless. Would like to give a big Thanks to GMR for all of his hard work & especially the DHK crew for their huge support & my wingman Robert of Mannequinman Products for being there for me when the stress level was at it's fullest. I almost forgot about eating my self & a BIG Thanks to Carmen for putting a couple of special hamburgers to the side for me. Wanted to say Thank-You for Ritchie Valens Jr. for showing up & playing his guitar for the evening. He has some amazing talent with those strings Also, the best part of the evening was the candle light vigil for "Chuckz" Rameriez. "Chuckz" was taken away from us on Sept. 23, 2008 at such an early age. The candle light vigil took place around 8:00pm. There were at least 150 people that formed a VW emblem & everybody was holding onto a candle in "Chuckz" memory & we had a moment of silence in his memory. It was very touching. I don't recall if anybody had a chance to take a picture since we were all busy holding candles. Would also like to Thank Herb of DHK for saying some nice words & look forward to 2009 for everybody to stick together & staying by each others side since life is just too short & life can be taken away in a flash. May the VW Angels fly with "Chuckz" & we will never forget you! Warmly, Toddco |
