Dean Kirsten, of Hot VWs magazine, graciously provided me with a few photos that he shot at the Texas Volks Blast, which you can find below. Thanks, Dean!

The Aircooled Monthly Magazine coverage of the Texas Volks Blast should be online soon. I imagine that it'll be packed with pics, since Steve was busy with his camera all day.

There are a bunch of great pics in the gallery on the Volkswagen Owners of San Antonio (VOSA) site. There are also quite a few videos, including this drag racing compilation.

If you've got pics of the event, please email them to texasvolksblast@gmail.com, or send me the link to them if they are already posted online somewhere.

Thanks!

Here are a few pics from Street Class runner up, Steve Haldiman. Steve broke his nosecone on his Ghia while running his first time trial of the day, but was able to patch it up with a tie-down strap (NHRA approved, of course), then go on to the finals.

The copper colored '67 shown in these pics is owned by Mike Amaral. Mike also had problems early on, but was able to obtain a replacement wheel stud and lug nut from a fellow VW racer, and went on win the Street Class.

Here's to both Steve and Mike for sticking with it, running the rest of the day, and going to the Oak Hill Automotive Street Class finals!

How about some water-cooled love, from Dean Kirsten and Hot VWs magazine?

If you've got more pics, send 'em to texasvolksblast@gmail.com and we'll add them to the Texas Volks Blast website gallery.

If you haven't seen it already, there is a new "Results & Photos" link/page on the Volks Blast site, where this gallery will live.

Steve Wiedner has done a great job of putting together a TON of good Texas Volks Blast stuff on the Aircooled Monthly site, including an article and a gallery that contains over 300 photos. Thanks, Steve!

Here are a few pics - click the thumbnails to view larger images (lots more in the gallery link above):

...and there's more!

You may have already seen some of these, but in the interest of putting everything in one spot, I created a gallery on the Texas Volks Blast site. It consists of ~250 pics, taken/contributed by various people:
