Here are a few pics from Street Class runner up, Steve Haldiman. Steve broke his nosecone on his Ghia while running his first time trial of the day, but was able to patch it up with a tie-down strap (NHRA approved, of course), then go on to the finals.
The copper colored '67 shown in these pics is owned by Mike Amaral. Mike also had problems early on, but was able to obtain a replacement wheel stud and lug nut from a fellow VW racer, and went on win the Street Class.
Here's to both Steve and Mike for sticking with it, running the rest of the day, and going to the
Oak Hill Automotive Street Class finals!
