K & L Motorsports presents the Northern Challenge #4 All VW Show, Swap meet and Drag Racing event held at Motormile Dragway in Radford, VA.

   This event is part of the SEVWA Points Series and we WILL be paying out double Purse for the winner in class, but you have to be an SEVWA Member prior to racing.

Admission is $15 (12 & under free)
Show car entry $5 Top 20 including best of's

We will be having a Charity Auction for "Speed Buggy" Jami Funderburk, before racing begins. Jami has been Diagnosed with Breast Cancer this last few weeks and we want to help the family during these tuff times and those high doctor bills! We will be accepting any donations as well as product to be auctioned at the race. EVERYTHING will be given to Jami! Thanks to those that have already donated some items and make sure you bring some extra pocket change to get this auction going! Email us at sevwa@sevwa.com if you have something to donate.

Schedule for the day

7:00am - Gates open for vendors ONLY!
8am - Gates open for all
9:00am Registration begins for show cars/Racers
11:00am - Chapel Service (Tower)
11:30am - Racers meeting/Tech in staging lanes
Noon- Time Trials begin / Registration ends for show cars
12:30pm - Judging begins
1:30pm Charity Auction (Registration Table)
2pm - Eliminations (as soon as Auction is over)
3:30pm - Awards for show cars (Approx time)
4:30pm - awards for Racers (Approx Time)
5:30 - Gates close (Approx Time)

Attention All Racers
   Remember that you need to make sure that your Helmets and Seat Belts are up to date. Especially if you have been told in the last couple of races already. Also, IF you wish to join the SEVWA, please do so before racing begins. ONLY SEVWA Members will receive Double Purses for the winners only. If you did not join before we start time runs, YOU WILL ONLY GET THE REGULAR PURSE. Please print and fill out enrollment form on WWW.SEVWA.COM and have it ready when you register to race.
    For SEVWA Members, we will have a drawing for a Jaycee Enterprises product after the Drivers meeting in the staging lanes.

Charity Auction
The Auction for Jami, will be held at approx. 1:30pm at the registration table. This will be right before eliminations. Listed below is the current list of items to be auctioned. If you have something you would like to contribute, please bring it to us first thing in the morning on event day.

  This event will be a Top 15 with 5 Best of Trophies and Entry is $5. Registration begins at 9 and stops at 12:00.

Location address: Route 11, off Interstate 81, two miles south of Radford, VA

 MAJOR HIGHWAYS NEAR TRACK: The dragway is located just off Route 11, six miles off Interstate 81. Interstate 77 is approximately a 25 minute drive away. Route 100 is about a five minute drive.
TRAVELING FROM WINSTON-SALEM, NC TO MOTOR MILE: - Take I-77 North to I-81 North
- Take Exit 98 off of I-81 North
- Take Left onto Hwy 100 North- Take Right onto Hwy 11 North
- Track will be on the Left

Keith and I would like to Thank all of you for coming out to the event!
We need the support from YOU ALL to help keep this event alive!

Had a good turnout of Racers with around 45, but the show car side was still down with only about 30. We certainly would like to have classes for you all, but with the low turnout of show cars, it just isn't happening. Would you all like to see some specialty awards or something of that nature? What are your thoughts on that?
Swap meet turnout was better then normal, so we certainly hope that you all found some parts you needed or sold a bunch of parts!

We also had the Charity Auction for racer Jami Funderburk. Thanks to everyone that contributed an item or two for the auction. We ended up with $1025 for her.
