Hi i figured id post this just incase no one knows about it.Theres a new monthly meet starting up in Nor Cal so far its been held at In N Out in Pleasanton on the second Friday of every mounth.It started in November i went on Friday night there was only four VWs there  .Oh well at least i was,nt by my self im sure it will get beter as the weather gets beter.Heres a link if anyones intrested www.aircooledshop.com/nag.html .It would be cool to have are own Nicks (So Cal) Sonics( AZ ) kind of seen up here  .Brian |

Oh snap!! Gotta get my junk running! We did a cruise back in the day in P-Town and used to get 15-20 cars in the summer time.  |

Cool im trying to get my car in beter shape to drive more often.With no heater and interior it was a cold and noisy ride but it felt good takeing the old car out .It did ok but i think it could use a good tunening.Anyway it will be cool seing other VWs out and about on the street.Brian

I just moved to Martinez last month i use to live in Fairfield.My girl friends perents live in Livermore though.

note of warning:
I grew up in Pleasanton- with my '67. Most of the cops back in the day knew me and my VW well. It was a sport for them to nail me for anything they could, mufflers, too low, drag racing, no front plate, no bumpers, engine too loud, non-stock engine.....it was a weekly thing for me to swap motors with my girlfriend's Baja (stock single port) so i could get tickets signed off. The cops were affectionately known as the Gestapo by my friends and I. Getting clocked @ 92mph racing a BMW 635CSi past the police station one night probably didn't help matters. Driving down Main St. on MH slicks probably didn't either.
Anyway- if the cops out there are as anti-VW as they used to be, be careful. They can empty your can of fun pretty quickly.

Sounds good im looking forwad to meeting you guys.Its been awile since my cars been in the VW seen.I went to UTI in Phoenix from late 93 to 95 .We had a little club going there we would cruze out to the Scotsdale pivilions(not sure about the spelling) and hang out. It was a good time they would have hotrods ,imports and vws all spread out .When i came back to Nor Cal there was,nt much going on my car has been on the back burner for awile.Im hopeing these meets will get poeple motivated to get there cars back on the road i know its geting me motivated  .Brian |

I thought you had a "street car".  Trailer it down, then make the cruise and stay the night at my house. I'm only like 10-15min's from Pleasanton. You can have your own room, then we can head to Nicks to dyno it on Sat... Action packed weekend.... |

As soon as the oval has a motor in it. I will be there. Lets get this thing going. No club, no pressure, just a bunch of vw people hangin out every so often. Isaac, me and Izzy will have to roll over from the west side. Ron too. Dick, its funny because we both have 56's and I think our motors are almost identical. Grudge match |

Hi all. I am a member of BLTN a san jose based vw club. most, if not all our members have been going to the pleasonton meet since its inception in Nov. it has been alot of fun and have meet a few new people. however we really need more people to come out and support this thing or i am afraid it will no longer be put on. for the first meet there were only 3 other people there besides my club, which brought another 8 or 9. for the second meet there was about 5 of us from my club and about 5 or 6 others. so come out and join us in feb and get some motivation under your belts to get your cars done. i do realize that the time of year that we are starting this thing isnt the best, but hell this is CA and the winters arnt that bad. hope to see you all there.
ps. pleasont PD hasnt given any of us a hard time....yet...

so the next meet is feb 10. According to the website. I'll contact ron. lawrence you contact izzy, i'll pick up matt and we'll roll on out to p-town. That is of course if its not raining otherwise i'll drive my other non vw car. The vert doesn't like the rain, unless your driving to kelley park at 5am. If there is a meet sooner let me know. this sat i do have open

Kool April Nights is awesome! I went up there with Jeff one year. Truly awesome!
We should plan a get together to go up there for like a PRE-Kelley Park show if anyone is interested.
Kool April Nights is in Redding. Worth the drive IMO.

You guys should come up to Graffiti Week in Roseburg.... I'm not saying that they street-race full on show cars up here or anything (ok they do), but they race untill 3 or 4 in the morning...

Jeff N.. isnt Redding in NORTHERN CALIFORNIA? lol i ws kind of confused there for a while.. me and eric figured out where central cali is.. it is that small town at the top of the grape vine. by the time you get to so. bay yoru about half way to LA anyways.. well that is if you leave from northern cali Kool April NIghts is def worth it.. over 2000 quality show cars ... and lots of fun. they kind of modeled it after hot august nights .. festivites start on wensday usually with get togethers etc and a lot of racing on the weekend or car show stuff |
