   Hey Dog,

When you gonna bring that program down here to So-Cal?

You know, where all the FAST cars are at! Grin

Maybe faster cars "down south" but just as much fun (if not more) at the NASA races.  More of you guys should make the trip up there to run NASA. Wink

I,ve thought about making the trip up just to participate with other VWs

Its a long A$$ haul from I.B.{Imperial Beach}, {the last coastal community on the California coast before you hit Mexico},...  maybe some day I,ll surprise everyone with a Visit.

The NASA Series looks to be a very fine program, seven races, Banquet, PicNick, lots of goodies to be had, FUN for all.......

I,ve said it before,... Too bad we dont have a "Series"  like this  in So-Cal....

NASA is very proud to announce that Jerry Matsko, Jason Fuiller, and the rest of the Battle Born Team will join the lineup for the Redding Race. It is an honor, a pleasure, and a privilege to feature one of the most advanced, state of the art VW Drag Cars in current competition.
We are quite sure this team will walk away with the award for fastest pass, but you never know. The appearance of the Battle Born Team may be just enough incentive to draw some of the other PRO Teams.
This race has potential to become another major VW event.

Im still curious to see if anyone is up for grabbing some dinner as a group, and maybe some cruising around town?! Last minute wrenching requiring a garage or compressor can be done at my place before we head out to the track. Ill Have 3 cars at least at my place getting ready, but hey, the more the marrier. Hope to see a good turn out, and a great event.

There is no parking at the 1371 motel 6, i know this for a fact. you can barely find parking there for a car let alone a trailer.

There is a fairly new motel 6, no. 674 which is at the north end of town, it is right off the hwy. there is parking there, also it is out of the way of heavy travel. the motel 6, no. 95 is on hilltop drive, it is right next to a red lion there is parking there. it is on the main drag where all the restaraunts etc are.

you can camp at the track too.  there is a wally race on that sunday as well.

do a google search on the addys for these places and loook at the satillite view to get an idea.  again, dont book at 1371 .

also, there is a super 8 real close to the track there is parking hter, it is right off i5, you will actually pass it on the way to the track ifyou go the churncreek route.   this road goes straight to the track.  there rates i think are sim to motel 6.  the motel six north of town was like 65 a night and on the website motel 8 is same.  here is the addy

5175 Churn Creek Rd
I-5 and Churn Creek Rd
Redding, CA 96002-3915 US
Phone: 530-221-8881
Fax:530-221-8881

there is  a best western in anderson that has tons of parking but they are proud of thier rooms. anderson is south of redding, about four miles.
