I just found out that there is a big shindig happening at Irwindale on December 13th! Mooneyes Christmas Party is Saturday December 13th...Drag Racing...Car/Motorcycle Show...Pin-Up girl contest...Live Music...Pinstriping demos...etc! I will be there representing the VW community...come out and let's play!!!

I'm trying to get out there also. Should be able to get a lot of runs in. I contacted Irwindale this morning and they want a $500,000 Liability Insurance Waiver if you are going to use a quad or golfcart to tow your racecar.
Great fun, and lots to see, but beware, this is a very popular venue for the Rat Rod crowd. The car show and vendor areas are already sold out. Two years ago, they were caught by surprise and there was a couple of hour wait to get in the gate. Last year, Mooneyes did their homework and things went faster and smoother.

There's no pre-registration for the drags this year, and I believe the drags had a separate entrance from the others last year. I got there around 5 last year, and had a front row spot in the pits. A call to Mooneyes might be a good idea.

I believe that is only for golf carts and things like that. I was just there last week and towed with my truck without a problem.

I sent an email to Lance this morning to see what he did. Irwindale says most people get the cert off their Homeowners policy by calling it an RV. Not sure I want to do that.

You can work with your insurance agent. Jon Schweers and I both did it.
If yu have a street legal insured vehicle, like busters ruck, you do not need the added insurance.
They are just covering their ass.

Engine got dyno'd and I'm good to go. Need to do a bolt check on the car and I'm ready. Haven't been in the car since June, so I'm looking to make some passes.

Sounds good...I finished running my new fuel line and picked up some fuel from Greg Garza last night...I just need to top off the N2o tank and I'm also good to go. I plan on being at the gate at 5:00 sharp!!!

I have an Emergency & have to go to Las Vegas Sat. If anybody lives close to Anaheim, CA & wants my credentials for the Mooneyes Xmas Show, call me at 562.552.8183. I have two arm bands & now have no use for them. First caller gets them if they can stop by my place by Sat. & pick them up.

I'll let Buster speak for how his day went. It was good seeing many VW friends there today. For those of you who have never attended this show, you need to. Kimball would die to have the attendance and diversity that this show draws. If anything, there were too many people for me today. Only got one pass in before they shut the lanes down. I was able to do a 7.32 pass on my new engine. Data from the data logger says all is well, so can't wait for the Hangovers at Fontana.

It looked so cold there that some of those models were doing glass cuting demos on the side
It stasted snowing here at my house at 5:30 pm WOW -- -- and 70's last weekend
