We all know its not happening no more Angry but what I found to be kinda dirty is the slot that the Bug Out took (thrid week in July) they gave it to NOPI off there website 2007 NOPI MICHIGAN Milan Dragway - (Detroit area) Milan, MI 07/21/07 .  They are not having NOPI at Norwalk Raceway Park anymore. I was kinda pissed at that. It just sucks anymore. They clossed 2 tracks near me (Magnolia and Quaker) and the local track I've been going to for years has all the sudden decided to go 1/8th mile Angry There is also no more Beaver Springs! So I guess the only VW event close (OH, MI, IN, and PA) is Larry's Offroad (Conklins area). I don't have a trailer and drive my car to all the events so long hauls are out of the question. I guess its time to give up. I'm not going to spend all this money on my car to race one race and the rest of the season do TNT 1/8th mille at my local track. Theres no fun in that. I don't know I guess im just venting. -Jacob-

Well darn...that's about a bummer     Angry

Would you consider racing with the V8's.  Rather than just TNT, racing in a regular bracket event at a local track can give you valuable seat time and ALOT of good experience both on the tree and staging, etc.  Then when you get to go to a VW only event, look out for Jacob !

Something to think about ?

Hey Judy yes I was going to join Dragway 42 points this year super street no box class but they switched the race program to 1/8th mile. I wanna race 1/4 mile. I guess it doesnt matter racing is racing. Norwalk Raceway Park is half hour from my house but they are NHRA now. I was doing reasearch 50-100$ to enter  there races and 20$ for TNT! Id be broke in no time. Also to crowed 500+ cars show up to race every Sat. -Jacob-

Im wondering if there is more to this Milan/BugOut situation than meets the eye.  I wonder if the dragway is using the "incident" as an excuse because the NOPI event will probably bring in more revenue than the Bug-Out.

Hi Jacob,  i/8 mile racing is still racing, as stated above, and most races are won or lost by the end of the eighth.  At least you get practice using the first 3 gears.  Did you get any info on the race "Cincy Shoot-Out", in Ohio in Aug.?  Sounds very possible !     Jim
