My name is Robert Gomez. Some of you may know me from my 1967 bug which has the license plate "FRESH67" or others know me as BusterJohns nephew. I attend a military school in Carlsbad, California called Army and Navy Academy. I have been here since freshman year and I am a senior now!! =) Every year we have an Alumni weekend. The weekend extends from that Friday to that Sunday, and on Saturday a car show is held. During the last four years the show has been a woody theme, but this year I am hoping to switch it up. I write this in hopes that many of you can help me do this. I want to turn it from a woody theme to a VW theme. Any of you that may be interested in coming down to my school to show off your VW are more than welcome, i just need to be informed ahead of time. I have already spoken to the Director of Alumni Affairs and she has no problem with it. So yeah the show wouldn't be untill May 16th but if this is going to happen i want it to be smooth. Ok so I just talked to the lady organizing all of this and she told me that she has to send out invitations pretty soon to all the alumni so I basically need to find out like a general idea of how many people might show up? Anybody? She said even if she has 10 cars it would be cool, but it’s my last year here after being here for 4 years and I wanna do it big!!! I mean I live on the beach and plus after the car show she invites us all to lunch and after that for all you who have kids there’s going to be like a little fair across the street on our football field! So what do you say?? Who’s going?

Do you want me to take the oval or the race car? I would be willing to take both but I don't have anyone to drive the truck and trailer...unless your dad will do it again

Dude take both.. Im gonna have a race car section for the racers if enough racers show up... but take both.. The more cars the better

the event would be like an all day thing the show would start at 9 so i would wanna line up and move in the cars at 7am.. the show is from 9-2 and following that is a fair.. its free!! breakfast and lunch will be served and its a high school campus so no alcohol or tobacco and its beach accessible!! im sure the beach will be nice that day.

Well...you have to ask your dad if he will drive the truck and trailer...I'm not sure he could handle the oval for such long distance...lol

well i just talked to the lady that is helping me and the general of my school and he said that he would be more than welcome to have VW's here for our alumni weekend.. plus im trying to get a little goodie bag for all the people that attend.. she said that the people that attend will be invited for lunch after the show.. from the time that we start theres like a little band concert and then i mean the beach is open too

I really wanna have one side or drag cars and one side regular cars and then everyone else. Its gonna be tricky but i wanna pull it off.. IF YOU CAN SEND ME UR EMAIL AND I'LL HAVE THE RESERVATION PAPER EMAILED TO YOU BY SATURDAY WHEN I GET HOME FROM SCHOOL! Its free of charge.. We'll even has some luch here after the show... This is something that i wanted to do that was different from the last 3 years I've been here. Its free.. Its just what i feel is a day to show off your bug, maybe hit up the beach and get to know other fellow VW owners.. Im hoping to have a good amount here from los angeles and san diego... it should be fun!
