Dom Luppino just called me said Roger had motor problems in the final. I think he said they set the record at 10.15
Well, congratulations none the less.  Even though the following will be a mute point…
10.0899 or quicker
Not to be anal, but I believe that it would have boiled down to what the third number after the decimal point was.  If my math is correct and we add 1% to all of the variables… and then round them off to the third digit…
   9.990 = 10.08990 = 10.090
   9.991 = 10.09091 = 10.091
   9.992 = 10.09192 = 10.092
   9.993 = 10.09293 = 10.093
   9.994 = 10.09394 = 10.094
   9.995 = 10.09495 = 10.095
   9.996 = 10.09596 = 10.096
   9.997 = 10.09697 = 10.097
   9.998 = 10.09798 = 10.098
   9.999 = 10.09899 = 10.099
But, I could be wrong! Grin

s/m final was won with a 12.900.
That's the way to step up in the finals...unfortunately it was at my expense.

I was fighting the 60 foot for this whole event. I was off 1 & 2 tenths in the 60 ft. Just trying to launch harder with the new wheele bars, but the starting line just did not like my setup this time. I lowerd tire psi which did not help. I loward launch rpm and it started to come around.
This was gift day for sure:
I earned #2 quailifer with a 10.904
1st round Greg S. had engine problems.
2nd round MM tried too hard with a -.003 red light
3rd round Joel Carter had a hot engine. I had a half decent R/T & ET for this pass if it went to the stripe.
4th round, Chris Brown, #1 quailifer with a 10.903, red lite -.055, good thing, I was not ready and the starter was spastic, I saw green with a .274 R/T.

I would like to thank the contingency sponsors for helping out us racers. The sponsors on my car are:
Bugformance Motorsports Sacramento
SCAT
LowBugget.com
Kustom 1
Foreign Unlimeted
Palmquist Tooling Inc.

Long time sponsors:
Lloyd Mosher Ent.
Staggs Racing
Jim Behrens

Jason had a computer problem which ended our bid for the license (crashed hard drive) the brand new combo blues, we will be back.
the car has so much potential Big thanks Scott Fetherhoff and everybody else who was stepping up and loaning computers ect.
as far as times we only netted a couple of passes 11.0 at 111. mph
we were at miid 6's in the 1/8 at 109 so nothing from half track on.

The next event will be at Fallon Nv. any body coming should have a good time and a great show June 16th 9 am to 9 pm.
oh and on the way home i got word that the unlimited street car of Richard Allison was now running .

Your welcome Jerry.  Great to see you guys out there.

Team Baron would also like to thank Rick and Dominick at Bugpack as well as AJ Sims for helping us make Sac with some much needed parts.

It was a great time as usual hanging out with all of our VW friends.  See everyone in fontana.

I was anything but "Mr. Consistency" on this race day (5-27-2007). But on 5-28-2006 at SAC you could call me that, car would not run anything else but 10.90x's during the eliminations.

Jerry, I'm not too far from Fallon, Nevada... about five hours from here in Lakeview, Oregon... how many cars are you guys expecting?  I may try and make the drive out if I'm not working that weekend (the life of a small town newspaper guy is never done Grin)  I do know a lot of the local V8 racers that are from that area, does Tami Phillips ring a bell (red '74 GTO) or Marc Klose ('37 Chevy pickup)?

Oh there is alot more left in the car. Plenty of Horsepower just got to get it down the track. Maybe next time we'll actually start beating on it. I was happy considering that the 10.83 pass was the first time I ever drove the car period.
