EXCELLENT!
I'm glad someone's willing to keep us informed that can't be there to see it in person ... DANG!

Why don't you run down to the local TV station and hijack the mobile newsmobile so we can get some live satellite feeds going?!!!
I'm sure it would be NO BIG DEAL. I do it all the time. They won't mind ....

Roger Crawford sets new record at 10.17 @ 133

Eric Calabrese runs an 8.96

I talked with Eric and Scott... that was with a soft tune up and trouble getting it into 4th gear. They figure it should have been am 8.70 by looking at the half ttrack numbers. "it drove like a Caddilac" Eric says. They are going to try to hit it a little harder this morning to see if the suspension changes they made over the last month work.

Madson's Ghia immediately got out of shape 6 feet out in round one of qualifying, he wisely shut off early.

Stark and Popick are some trouble with the tune, aborted their pass as the motor went flat. I'm sure the 2005 champs will be back this morning.

In S/G and S/C their have already been several 11,90X and 10.9XX's. In these classes qualifying IS the first round of racing.

The left lane is greasey from and earlier oil down. Hopefully with more cars going down the track it clears up.  ---Tom

NHRA backups have to be within 1% and at the same event.

"In the event that two runs exceed the existing record but are not within 1 percent of each other, the quicker time or faster speed will be acceptable as the backup for the slower time, which will stand as the new record."

I don't know if this is accepted proceedure for the PRA.

Does anyone know if they were running qualifying last night, or only today? I wasn't sure if his times from last night could be used as backups.

So he would have to run 10.09 or quicker, I believe.  Good luck!

Man, I'm sure glad my wife decided we should do some of this landscaping work we've been putting off.  I'm so glad I'm not in milder temps watching record setting VW passes.  I'd much rather be sweating my ass off in the Vegas 99* heat! Roll Eyes

Best of Luck to the Racers, and I wish you safe trips home to Everyone!

Just spoke to Brian and and he said Roger didn't back it up.  Still a lot of race day left though.  I will post it up on my website (www.acdrm.com) if I hear anything more.  It sounds like a great event and I am stuck way over in England!!!

Considerig the car is running in S/S its probably a good assumption that its in S/S trim
