Der Primer Panzers will be putting on its 2nd Annual Picnic and Cruise on Sunday, June 7, 2009, starting at 12pm. We will be meeting at Wardlow Park (on Wardlow, 1/4 mile east of Long Beach Airport), food and drinks provided for as long as they last... Then around 3pm, we will cruise around Long Beach, Signal Hill, and eventually head towards Fullerton for the famous Nick's Burgers cruise night! Kick off VW Classic Week with us-- all classic VWs and clubs welcome!

Yes, Eddie-- it's a good size park, not too far from where I live, and I get there pretty early to snag a couple of park tables... You might want to bring a lawn chair, though! Hope to see you there!

Thanks guys for waiting for me while i pulled out my #4cyl. pushrods on the side of the road to keep cruising.
Even without the pushrods my lil engine had balls, i drove home after the cruise without 2 pushrods on, and was still doing 70MPH no problem. From Fullerton to Inglewood.

Thanks for posting those pictures, Eddie-- I'm in the middle of re-sizing them so I can post them with a decent file size...

I'd like to thank everyone who attended. We had a good number of the regular Imperial Burger crowd, and some new folks (one guy drove his Bus all the way from Culver City!)... The cruise went very well, in spite of Eddie's little mishap, we had NO issues with any members of Long Beach law enforcement  Grin  and everyone had a great time! DKP was a little smaller turnout the other night, possibly because of the Laker game (umm... they had it showing on all 3 TVs at Nick's Burgers, folks), but that's okay... see everyone later this week!

My bug is no quiter, if it had legs, it would run on only 1 if it had too.
Anyways, got the problem fixed already, im ready Thursday now.  Grin
Dont know weather to race it at Irwindale for the hell of it, or to go to the DHK Meet.

I'm going to be at DHK on Thursday-- I need to talk to Herb anyway, and it's a bit closer to me, and the food is cheaper too.... Grin

I figured a broken pushrod was no biggie for you, Eddie... F--k it, it runs!

I'm still waiting for another couple to send me pictures, as they were taking pics while we were actually driving... I'll be posting my pics tomorrow!
