Anybody have a lead on a good affordable motel for two nights?  The host hotel, with the special rate, is apparently 119 for the first night, and 219 the second night... Wayyyyyyyy out of my budget.  Is there a Motel 6 nearby?  Lol.  Seriously, I need to get my ass in gear and get lodgings confirmed.
If I didn't have a girlfriend with me, I would consider camping at the track, but as I said on the Samba in a BOR thread, I may be getting too old for that scene... I like sleep and can't party like I used to.  :-p

I had good luck with the Marriott Courtyard - Rancho Cordova (around $70 a night) on White Rock Rd. and is an easy to get to the Sac Raceway.

The howe ave and power inn rd. exit next to hwy. 50 has the good nit inn and a comfort inn located at power inn and folsom blvd. just east on 50 is the jackson hwy. that goes right to sac raceway park. the city of rancho cordova has not been real nice to classic car and a/c vw people I try and avoid non car friendly towns.

Jim, that's where I'm staying, so I'm good... there was no way in hell I was going to pay 119 the first night and 219 the second night at the host hotel... maybe if it was Bug In 34, but I just can't justify those kind of rates for BOR.

As for Rancho Cordova not being classic car friendly, that's fine, as I won't be showing up in a VW anyways...:-p
