I'm in the area and saw the advertising.  It's the NMRA Ford race from March 5th to the 8th.  I was thinking of going on Saturday.  Anyone else going?  You can email me directly at terry.gaudet@beausejourgaudet.com to let me know.

Does anyone know if Ron Lummus will be going to this one?

Well i'm in St. Petersburg for a couple of weeks.  I'm already going to the Gators next weekend but didn't have much to do this weekend.  A guy can only spend so many days on the beach with kids and wife before he starts to become edgy..... Smiley

The weather looks good for this weekend.  I'm sure these Fords will impress.  I'll be wearing a VW shirt and will be the white guy with a bad sunburn who hails from Eastern Canada.  Not hard to find, but then again.....

OK Terry, I'm headed out there now - will keep an eye out.  I will be working the NHRA event in Gainesville next week - don't know if you can get access to the media center (tower) but if you can, stop by and say hi.

Thanks Gangforward.  I'm heading to Bradenton this morning.  I'll be wearing a white Mark Prothero shirt.  I'll try to get to the media area at the Gators.

Just got back from the race.  Weather was nice.  Many Mustangs in the house.  Too bad i'm not a fan.  But the racing was cool except for the crash.  The driver's name was Scarey driving the Kooks headers car.  He was in the left lane and did a hard right turn at the 1000 mark.  Hit the wall pretty hard.  He is ok.  Car isn't.  There were some tech guys looking at the rear driver's side slick.  It looked like the rubber peeled off the tire, kinda like a recap tire from a rig on the highway.  I'm sure Mickey Thompson will be looking into this further to see what happened.

just got home - sorry I missed you Terry - we had a good time - like you I'm not a Ferd guy, but it was fun.  Looking forward to the NMCA race there the end of the month.  Next it's off to Gainesville on Thursday.
