Our 4th annual Dyno Day will be held March 10, 2007 at Allspeed's new location. Allspeed’s new site is located directly behind the Peachtree City, GA. Post Office and the Avenue Retail Center. This will be the first event at Allspeed's new facility complete with a burnout pad and other cool features! This event is open to any and all AIRCOOLED VW's. We have rented the dyno all day so there will be no rush and could leave time for some extra pulls if needed. We hope this will be a laid back, fun event for everybody. As usual the BKC will have our "Hot Dog Stand" up and running for lunch.

ALL CARS WILL RUN WITH BELTS AND MUFFLERS IF COMPETING FOR HIGH HP and TORQUE. Other than that anything goes.

The runs will start at 9 am, we will break for lunch around 11:30.

Trophies for:
High Horsepower
High Torque
Low Horsepower
you dynoed WHAT!

TOP DOG  anything goes, no belts ok here

Cost is $35 for 2 back to back pulls.

All info and registration formes can be found here: http://www.bkcruizers.com/site2/index.php

Don't forget the SILVER DOLLAR SHOWDOWN #4 on Sunday March 11. Last year was a great show! I hear the BRE rail will be back!

Also james2's challange, $100 goes to the car with the highest HP that can make the drive to Silver Dollar Raceway.

This should turn out to be a great VW weekend!

Chico Performance Racing is on board as a major sponsor, thanks Anibal Chico.  Chico is bringing one of his bad ass engines with him!

CB Performance is our other sponsor this year. Pat Downs will be attending and just might have something to dyno!

Also, I got $100 bucks for the NA car that makes the most HP and drives the approx 80 miles to the silver dollar.

And before the turbo people complain, it's for  NA cars because It's my challenge, if you want to kick in a 100 for turbo cars, no one is stopping you.

as for jetting goes that is propriatery information ,that is top secret to the central florida racing community!!!

I won't write off 66 Mike yet...Heck, it's still a month away!  But he's definitley been hitting the BMX track...It wouldn't surprise me if Mike's car show's about 25-30 lbs lighter at the scale, and that's not changin' the car!

Mel, the true defending champion won't be there.. He also drives Blue car thats a little beat up (especially after 3,450 miles of hell last year) and has a weird looking, weird sounding engine that is a different type...

See if you can break the 186HP barrier and 189 Tq with the belt on pump gas... The best without the belt there was 196HP/195Tq and that was made at 5,500 RPM :-) Drove it 2.5 Hours there... of course it was the "other" type of aircooled engine...LOL

I have other things to do this year, we are playing heavily in SCCA and have a race before and after that weekend..

I do have a similar event in the planning stages for late summer/ early fall here in the mountains and at this one you can compete based on power made per liter AND it has a purse! (a pretty healty one too) with 3 classes.... You Florida boys need to come to the mountains and play...

All the fast cars are Blue.

I did participate last year, but it was more important to gain data for Hot VWs as the engine in my test car was being covered at the time in the build up article "Type 4 Torquer"....

My numbers were from 2005 and since they are the highest ever recorded at the event from a pump gas N/A (or Turbo at this point) engine I'd pretty much say they are the numbers to beat..

I'm pretty sure they'll be beaten this year and I hope thay are, thats a sign of forward motion and will also give me incentive to put something together again ;-)

Go ahead and say whatever you want, it probably won't be something I haven't heard before and even if it is I'm a big boy that can deal with it.

DEFENDING CHAMPION is of last years winners!!

I put down 188hp at the fisher event , but that doesnt count cause it was different event and was in 2005

I did not win a thing last year but enjoyed everyminute of it last year and will participate with what I have ,, If I brake it before then , then I have the old reliable tested and tried.

If I was a professional builder with all this research and developement at my fingertips and there was a competition in my back yard, with the availability to show the east coast and the world to boot what could be done.........

I WOULD BRING IT ALL!!! EVERTHING I HAD< PLUS WHAT EVER I BUILT THAT ALL MY CUSTOMERS HAVE I WOULD MAKE SURE THAT THEY MADE THE EVENT ALSO!!!!!!!!!!!

Mel,
Most of my customers are not close enough to come to the event, I believe that most everyone who is close enough has already had their car on the dyno there at some time over the past few years..

Fact is when I "won" (two years in a row) I gave up the trophies to the guys that were not professionals, one year that was James2. The event isn't for guys like me, it is for guys like you that do not do this daily. That same year i had the top TWO cars in the event (2005). I also backed it up at the track where I spanked everyone there (VW wise), even drag racing (which I suck at) with a Type 4...

I applaud you for making the power you did at the event last year, this "roller" is stingy compared to most and thats plain to see looking at my raw numbers from all the engines I have had on that dyno in the past, the power losses were all about the same percentage despite the overall output of the engine.

A pro showing up at this event is just like Boyd Coddington showing up at a car show and entering, all it does is piss people off and take their fun away. Thats why I have never competed there for the trophy, its just not fair.

I hope everyone has fun there and the attendance is record breaking and I'd like to see Mel make the trip and take home #2..

So what was that percentage for those of us who have no idea what the #s would be at the flywheel. I know its not as good as time with the engine on the dyno but for some of us it will be close enough.
