Looking on summit racing I see many line lock type devices, prices range from $35 to $100+
I understand you get what you pay for, and haven't gone the cheap route with much on my car.  Just looking for your thoughts on what is best for the money.

Just looking for something to keep me from rolling out of the water box, I may tie the solenoid into my launch rpm switch to hold me at the line also.

Thanks.

I bought mine from Summit.  It's the Biondo line-lock.  I've read great things about them too.  Many here I believe use the Hurst roll control too.

I have had both Biondo and Hurst, both work great but you can get two Biondo line locks for the price of the Hurst. My new car is using a Hurst for the brakes because I got it new and cheap on craigslist and two Biondo for the clutch management.

The summit looks like the hurst one, maybe from the same factory, but you won't pay for the brand  Wink

Just purchased the summit kit will keep you updated when I'll install/test it.

I use the Hurst line lock. It works fantastic so far.

The one thing that I don't like about it though is the cheapo button and crap wires that come with it. Other than that, it is great and I never had a problem with it.

I'm using a Hurst button for my Biondo.  So far, so good.  =)

I have a hurst in my 61, and am thinking about going with the summit for my 60, I could care less about the button, I don't use it anyway.  My 61 has a toggle switch in the horn button circuit that allows me to use the factory horn button as my switch, for racing and as my horn for cruising.  I can't hook it up to my MSD box for a rev limiter though.  My 60 will use a late model(66) signal switch with the dimmer in the handle to accomplish this purpose, I'm hoping to be able to use this same switch with a rev limiter for burnouts also.  We'll see, I just finished making a hybrid (60/66) signal switch last week for this purpose. Hopefully it works, using the factory stuff definitely makes for a clean install IMO.

Hey guys, im going to resurrect this old post! I've got a quick question i hope someone can help me with. I just got one of the Biondo Line locks in and was wondering about the install. The model i got has a 1/8 npt inlet and outlet. How do i adapt this to a beetle metric brake line? How are you guys doing it?

Thanks
Ryan

You will need  1/8" pipe (male) to metric bubble flare (female) adapters like seen here:
