what class is a dunebuggy for i.h.r.a?

the track officials here have told me and my friend that they are going to limit us to 10.90 because were going too fast(me 9.90s and my buddy 10.20s), they were trying to say that we were A/altered,i didnt think we were in that class,we both have full roll cages that are welded to a bar(1 5/8 tubing)that runs from the front-end to the torsion housing (no bolting through the pan),someone must know what class we fall into? thanks, joe
