Turbocharged with 48 IDAs

Has this ever been done? If not, can it? and Why hasn't anyone done it? The biggest carbs on a turbo motor I've seen have been 48 IDFs on a type 4.

The floats bowls are hollow. There's been some talk in the past. Do a search I'm sure you'll find it. I've had a 2110 blow thru set up in the past on 48 IDF's with no mod's done to them.

There was some dude that did it I think on shoptalk forums. He had a baja or a buggy I can't quite recall. But it was pretty cool looking, but it sounded like a pain in the ass in order to get it tuned.

with enough time and money you can make ANYTHING work. Like 63vdubmann was saying, the brass floats are hollow and too fragile to do a blow through set up at any significant boost. A guy could custom make a manifold and build a draw through set up that uses a single down draft IDA, but a side draft DCOE would be a better choice if you want to use a weber (you can hit the 'easy button' and just buy a manifold for Weber DCOE and Dellorto DLRA)
