i couldnt search for the answer to this question. what iv seen on here is when someone builds a turbo motor they use a low 6- 8.5:1 compression.. why? whats the harm of going 9-12:1 and running turbo

From what i understand the higher the compression the more it will whant to detonate (not good).  Both turbo and supercharged engines  need to have lower CR because the the coppressing action brings up the compresion of the engine .  Thats my veiw of it  .
