What's the most wheel horsepower anyone has gotten on a turbo 1600 and at what boost level. Car is to be street driven daily driver.

It is unlike what effect you want to accomplish and how it will go Drag Racing .
But with the stock 1600 motor with external modifications can lead to a 13.9 Drag Racing .

I believe a healthy, well balanced, stock VW engine can go a lot faster than 13.9. I'm thinking a loooooooow 11 or even a 10 is possible with the vehicle set up properly. I have a Ultra VW where a racer's 1641 was running 10's. He had a stock body and a bone stock engine other than the 87 pistons. The turbo was Holset and the engine was built on a $3,500 budget I believe.

Bad bug, I have no real world input, but I know the VW Trends had a stock 1600 that they turboed awhile back. The stock 1600 made 44 hp and 66 ft lbs and after the Turbo City installation made 83 hp and 108 ft lbs at 4000 rpm.

If a 1600 were using better components (high rev valve springs, low drag rings, really good balancing, mid range to top endy cam, larger valves, forged pistons, etc.) and had a larger turbo, the horsepower could be greatly improved over the aforementioned numbers. Though streetable, it would be pretty strung-out though and not make as much bottom end power.

I asked the question several places for the next engine
Crank stock, balanced 9500rpm, 8 doweled
cylinder 86mm
Pistons - of mitsubishi evo 10
Cam - engine tcs20 tcs30 ,engine fk46,fk47,fk48,fk10,fk87,fk89,scat c55,c56,c85,c89) With 1.4 rockers
Which of these achieves higher RPM
More RPM more power
Lifters - 28mm
Rockers - Stock
Carbs - Webet 40dcot
Exhaust - Hand made (1-1/4) 36,4mm
Turbo - T28/4 or T3/4 1bar(~14psi) Custom
Head - 40x36 ,40x34 or 40x32 Huh Huh
Ports - intake - 35,2mm or 36mm Huh Huh
and exhaust - 36mm or 34mm Huh Huh
But the head hinge RPM
the valve inlet port and depends more RPM , from the output port as easily exercise.

My old turbo 1600 made 110hp and 121tq @11lbs
Had 32x36 progressive "Holley" carb, not the weber.
Test engine was a junk yard 1600cc, I used it as a turbo for 19,770 miles, had dual springs, chromoly retainers, HD keepers, SS valves and 1.25:1 rockers with C/M push rods. Loved that combo.

In my stok bug would run low 14's all day!

Sir A.J.Sims

What would you corrected me on my turbo engine, consult me for cam and head ports.
I want to have high RPMs. For this purpose I had in mind  engine tcs20 ,   IN -FK87 end EX -FK10 @112 , IN -FK87 end EX -FK45 @112 or FK-89
