Hi,

I have just purchased a 72 swing axle Bug with the following suspension set up on :

Red 9 design coil over kit 2" to 4" drop dampers
Front and reat sway bars
Adjustable front beam
The rear is lowered to ahcieve a camber of 2 degrees negative
The front is as low as the dampers will let it go, i.e. 4 "

The problem I have is mainly with thr front, due to the front being lowered to the stated ride hieght and the angle of the the torsion arms ( being horizontal) there is not much movement in the front under braking and hard cornering, plus the front is very harsh over bumps, so when you corner hard, and enter corners on the brakes the front washes out due to no travel.

Now my idea is to adjust the shocks back upto as close to stock ride height as possible and fit dropped spindles to try and achieve the lowered front but increase the suspension travel, what do you think :?: :?:

The next question is do I fit a rear camber compensator with the rear sway bar or remove the sway bar and fit a camber compensator or just leave it with the sway bar ?

Thanks

Daz
