Talk to John; he carries two nice sets of aluminum pushrods, including a dual-taper pushrod for extreme applications.

I don't know how they respond to PSI springs but i have a set of Smith Brothers Aluminum pushrods in a guys 2110 with a engle 120,CB 044 mags and CB duals. He has 2500 miles on it and everythings great.Adjust them to .004 cold. You order them at length with ends installed end to end length.
PN NA56B they are 2024 T3 alloy.

I'm using Aircooled.net straight ali push rods with CB650 dual springs. revs to 7500 happily. These push rods are much tougher than the bugpac's. Different alloy!

I have listed a set on the want ads section of this forum if anyone is interested.  I originally bought them in order for my engine builder to use in a 2332cc intended for a daily driver '67 sedan, was really interested in exploiting the cool temps that they are supposed to provide.  Decided against using them because I wanted to go with a "sure-thing" known engine combination since this engine powers a daily driver during the summer months...I am in no way stating or implying that they don't work...but I didn't want to risk "experimenting" on the side of the road during rush hour traffic!  Would really like to see an article in a VW enthusiast magazine (hint hint Deano!) that describes in detail what it takes to build them up and make them work, along with an analysis of how they perform in terms of cooling/longevity/performance.

I tried AC net aluminum PRs and is good but it did bend after awhile so I think there super HDs are better and thicker. Just as light as the CBs cromo racing PRs but stay at adjustment when hot.  But anyway I got a set of SS and it look nice. I got it from a friend and got it cuz it was a C piston and at 10.5+1 and 32deg advance and 91 supreme it no ping and run cool so far.
