I occasionally run my vintage Claude's Buggies air filters on my IDAs, but HATE the look of the modern K&N filters.

Does anyone have a source for mesh that would mimic the Porsche 356 aircleaner mesh? My goal would be to wrap this around the K&N filters, thereby hiding them.

Thanks, in advance.

Home Depot. I bought some expanded metal that looks just like that.
I used it on the K&N's I put on my old Kadrons.
If you cn't find it send me your address I will send enough to you to do the job.

Thanks - I'll check it out.

Do you have a photo of it installed on your Kadrons?

P.S. MAN, did the engine look bland back then with the Blue coil and 009  Sad

Have you thought about milling the fins off of those air cleaner lids and then painting them gray?  They look very '80's.
In fact, you should make some hardwood bucks and hammer out a lid from aluminum that look like the  356 pieces.

Yeah, they have a billet look that bothers me. Good suggestion.
