I was at the dunes this weekend and saw more odd and goofy sand dune engine stuff! a guy running a 1835 that had a single IDA on top of it, the manifold was like a header, 4 tubes each running to a port on the head. #1 and #4 were fed from one barrel of the carb and #2 and #3 were fed from the other.  unadjustable if you built an engine of narrower or wider width than stock or whatever this engine was.
Anyone seen anything like this? Looked very professional like maybe something out of the 80's performance era, he said it drank gas like a MOFO.

I've seen that manifold.  Geoff P. found one at a swap meet a few months ago.
I thought the tubes were kinda small for a 48.  Maybe he'll post a few pics....

Thats exactly it guys.

Yes the runners are very small and man are some of them long.  I bet tuning is pretty hard.  I thought it was pretty neat all in all, of course a waste of a IDA.....
