I have a 2332, 9.0:1, wedgeports, matchported, 7200 rev limiter, and 48IDA's, run at sea level, is street driven. What would be the jetting setup that would be a good start point?

What venturi's?

I'd start with a 155-160 mains with 37 vents, 170-ish mains with 40 vents.

I run at sea level and I run F10-70 idle, 165M 190A F7s and 42 vents. With 37 vents I run 155M 200A F7s. The 160 idle never worked for me maybe because I have no 3rd progression hole thing.

That's a pretty cool gauge Art. I assume it screw's into the float bowl drain? Where did you get it?

Can the floats effect things like no power, difficult tuning?? Upon revving the engine it looks like a deisel with clouds of black smoke but that would be a jetting issue. From what other have posted on this thread I will be trying 37 vents, 155 mains, 180 airs, 55F10 idles, and F11 emulsions..... should I make these changes one at a time or all at once??

I currently have 37 vents, 135 mains, 120 airs, 70F10 / 120 idles, and F7 emulsion

I see in the forum there are those for the third progression hole and those who say "nah, wouldn't worry". I am of the understanding that it "can" help of idle making it a smoother transition into "progression" from "idle" but it's up to the driver..... not that I've even got up to the stage of driving yet, but while I have the carbs out to check the float levels, etc.

Well, I have sorted out the big gremlins now with the following:

Fuel regulator dialed in to 3psi
Float levels set as per factory settings
155 main, 180 airs, 37 venturis, 55 idle (+120) and F7 emulsion

I had some major issues with the pushrod ends with what looked like the ends hadn't been hardened and so all the valve settings were constantly out.

The car pulls really strong from 2000rpm up to 7200, if I am giving it heaps but there is still a hesitation/stumble from idle to progression if I am trying to drive it sensibly or off the line......

.... Will this be fixed once I get the carbs fine tuned/dynoed and using an air ratio gauge?Huh

I am running a similar setup and I would advise on getting a LM-1.  I had a big problem trying to jet my engine and I was running it way rich, the oil smelled like gas a lot.  When I used the LM-1 and started jetting it leaner the car ended up running way better and got rid of the stumbling.  That is just my expierence......so far. Smiley

I got my LM-1 on ebay for like $280 shipped, new.  It was totally worth it.  Cool
