Yes it was called by Kevin early in the morning,  we drove 9 hrs to get there, to find the rain sunday morning. But it wasn't a total waste of a trip, went 3 hours further sw, and ended up buying a 55 round window turnkey drag car from Lee Smith. Making a return trip memorial day weekend, to pick it up.We could end up t/t at Rockingham that sunday, or at another track down in SC.

Yeah, it sucks for Kevin and Mel (or any promotor) to put such time and effort into something like this only to have it wash out.
We made the ride up hoping there'd be a vendor or two around but it was a ghost town except for a handful of hardcore guys grilling out outside the gate...in the rain!
Just make sure everyone show's up for the Fall show to support these guys.

We camped out at the track, had a good time Sat nite. Had to pack up in the rain Sun morning. Looked promising for a little while that morning, but then it started coming down.

This is the blue with flames tube frame 55 roundwindow car, weighs 1200lbs, fresh trans, 2332 with 52's on it.He has 2 prostock engines also, one of which was in the car earlier this year, but the money isn't there to swing it.Car should run 11.00's turnkey. The Joker car is the one that was totaled, this is for my 2 sons to use, since I have my 69. Going back down there memorial day weekend to pick it up, and try to get a run or two in at a local track.
