Just wanted to take a moment to remember the people that lost thier lives because of the terrorist attacks on American soil that day. The wives, sons and daughters, mothers and fathers and friends that lost loved ones. The American soilders, special agent's, border potrol and the ones we will never hear about.
I'm thankful I live in this country.

First thing I did this morning is hang out our flag.

I'm writing this at 9:36am, the sky is clear and all is quiet outside.  Almost exactly the same conditions on that Tuesday.

My wife worked at a high-rise within sight of the Pentagon.  She could clearly see the smoke rising from the building after the plane crashed into it.  I was sitting in the dentist office getting my teeth cleaned (9am appointment).  The office is about 10 miles from the Pentagon.  When someone came in and told us about the NY disaster, a small TV was turned on.  When news of the plane hitting the Pentagon came, my hygenist started shaking. Her husband works at the Pentagon.

My appointment was cut short.  As I was driving to work on Southbound I-95, the only vehicles Northbound (into DC) were emergency and Police vehicles.   I stayed glued to the radio.  All phone lines were jammed. The only communication we had was by e-mail.

That night, the sky was filled with fighter jets patrolling the DC area for more threats.

I shall never forget that day.
