Its going in a 68 bug that will be more of a weekend\fair weather toy. This is what Ive got so far;

2110cc
CB Performance 82 super race crank
CB Performance super race 5.4 connecting rods
90.5 Pistons (still deciding on what brand)
Mofoco 050's 42mm in x 37.5mm ex, port and polished
Engle w120 cam with 1.25 rockers
dual 44 idfs with 36mm vents
not sure what exhaust but will probably be 1 5\8". Im really digging the CSP Python
Compression ratio around 9 to 9.3:1
Deck height of .040 to .050

If anyone has a set up similar to this let me know how ya like it
                                          Thanks

Go K8 with 1.4:1 rockers and get rid of the 44's they are not enough.

I have a 2110 with the same set up minus the cam and lifters.

I run a K8ish cam and 1.4's and I have 44's and they run out on the top end.

This is what Ive got so far;

Since you indicate that the list above is of parts you already have, I'd say build it.

You're going to get all sorts of opinions offering advice to run this cam with those heads, and these carbs, etc...  You've got the parts, run 'em.  Its a decent package combo.

If you're looking to sell some parts and upgrade, then let us know and you'll likely get some good advice here.

I am with Dave, if you have those items then run it.  Just make sure those heads have dual springs and are shimmed up according to your lift and make sure your manifolds are ported all the way up.  Should be a good driver once you tune it/jet it accordingly.

Agreed; build it! The 44's will be fine for those heads and cam, maybe larger vents when you get around to tuning it.

I was thinking this is the IDEA he has.  Not that this is what he has already purchased.

I agree if you already have the stuff build it.

I dont have it all yet, I got the carbs ordered, and he's working on the heads. I have considered changing to 94s, might call monday and do that if it makes that big of a difference. I was just wanting opinions on how well the parts would work together before I got any deeper into it. Dual springs are something i was wondering about. And Should I take the crank, and connecting rods somewhere to have the balance checked? I live in a small area and dont trust any shop to do a great job, cb says they come dynamically balanced.

56cc chambers and a deck of 0.050" will give you a CR of 9.2:1, dynamic of 6.98:1. With 94's you'll need 60-61cc chambers to keep the same CR. I believe your carb/head/exhaust/cam combo will work beautifully together, should make good power to 6k or 6.5k if the portwork is good in your heads. Definitely go with dual valve springs.
