I purchased a new AS41 case a while back and am now getting ready to assemble my engine and noticed the oil pickup tube has some wiggle in it. I am concerned about sucking air and was wondering what the best way to seal it is before assembly?

Replace it with one from an old German case.

You can seal it with some RTV.

Agreed....
You can use Loc-tite retaining compound too.
Make sure that the new tube fits nice and tight so that you have to tap it into place.

Here in Phoenix Steve Hollingsworth takes out the pick-up and then drives out the aluminum plug.  Put a large drift into the hole vacated by the pick-up and drive out the large aluminum plug on the outside of the case.  Then you put the pick-up back into the case where it is suppose to be.  He made a tool that goes into the pick-up from the outside and swedges it in about three places.  He also uses red loctite on the pick-up when he puts it in.  Then you re-install the aluminum plug using red loctite on the sealing surface.  Problem solved.
