I missed the episode that eliminated you.  What happened?  What was the challenge?  You guys did awesome it was great to see you guys beat the big boys.  I watched a couple of episodes with friends of mine they are V8 guys and were laughing until you beat them.  They had an all new respect for the VW.  It needs to be published everywhere that the engine was a VW not Porsche.

It was great seeing you guys on Bullrun.  My hats off to you both.  It's like you said you guys took a 40 year old vehicle, built it yourself and were extremely competitive in it.  You guys could've gone all the way, at that point in the competition it was still anybodys game.  Awesome bus and now you have memories in it that will last a lifetime.

With all of the tv publicity, that bus should now be worth at least $10k!   Cheesy

Finally got to see a few of the episodes...

I'd have to say that my engine faired very well in the Bus considering how many miles Bill had driven it prior to the event... Glad to see that you guys made it so far without any mechanical issues!

Saw the bus today at the Bug-In. Not too much the worse for wear. When the guys pulled out to go home there were 2 silver dollar sized spots of oil that had leaked out. I thought to myself, after all that bus has been through, after all those hard miles, that ain't bad!! It fired on the first crank and still sounded as sweet as ever as they pulled away. I think deep down in his heart, Bill Goldberg is a VW guy. He got kind of emotional when Team VW got eliminated.

Yea I need to pull the motor  & drop the trans. The off-road challenge did the nosecone in. So it needs to be replaced. That was gear oil. Before bullrun it never leaked a drop. It coulda been worse. Great to see all you guys I met today.

Well get busy or bring tranny fluid with you for the drive to Sacto. Look forward to seeing the bus again.

Its an old combo that has lived it's life in Vegas... And it has 911 cooling.. So all things considered including how hard they beat on the Bus during the show I'd say it did very well... and continues to according to Bill.
