Megasquirt v1, v2 and Digifant?

I was looking at the Megasquirt website today, and from what I could tell, it looks like the MS1 doesn't have a timing curve map, only fuel.  You need to pay a couple hundred more for the assembled MS2 with the timing map and fuel curve, is this correct?  I was also wondering if the MS (any version) would work with the Digifant that came with the later Mexican Beetles (wiring harness, sensors, injectors, etc.).  I have a like new set of 44IDFs that I may want to trade if anyone's interested.
