Doing an install with the Mallory unilite distributor and a Mallory Digital HyFIRE VI box.  Installed the grey springs, that was fun, like delivering a baby, thought one was gonna pop off and fly across the room!

What about the the selection of RED advance tabs?  Is there a recommended tab to use, as there is with the "grey" spring?

        -OR-

Is it the purpose of the advance tabs to limit the amout of advance?  The tabs go up to 26 .  Looking at the diagram it looks like there are two types of assemblies a YT and a YH.  The YT does not require the use of the red advance tabs but the YH assembly does.

Looks like I had the YH assembly, but removed it, as it was the points assembly, and installed the optical modular. So, the max advance can't be set using the optical modular so disreguard the red advance tabs?

Your unilite must be different than mine.

Either way, I like to setup my distributors for about 10-15 total advance.
This keeps the idle advance up, while full advance is still only 32.
It helps with keeping the idle stable on motors with hot cams.
