Hi,
I need advice
I'm installing  a mallory hyfire 6 ignition to  an oem electronic distributor

little review http://www.cbperformance.com/catalog.asp?ProductID=1839
This distributor  is not  popular at the forum,   came from 1990 to 1991 model only, (89 was point and 92 is fixed internal timing for fuel injection ) exist 2 model mechanical advance or centrifugal and vacuum advance.
The centrifugal advance is the most difficult and expensive to found, this distributor are originally bosch, great quality, I used mine since 1991 and I never had a problem, but I already bought 2 more for replacement.
Now, the stores sells this distributor as bosch but are fake, cheap and crap, also bruck brand is worst. (avoid this)
http://www.cbperformance.com/catalog.asp?ProductID=1840
came with a harness to the electronic unit, this unit originally was telefunken (great quality) now are several brands but are crap,  I found that my 81 bmw bike have the the same  control unit from 1981 to 1992 (aircooled bmw bikes) and is the telefunken original unit. The harness have connector for dis, module, coil and ground.
Came with  beru supression spark plug wires.
For me this was the best distributor that I used, I never return to 009, 050 or mallory double point, probably the original point setup is better than this aftermarket dis  for daily driver .
CB links are for photo ilustration only, I dont telling that this parts in cb catalog are crap, Cb for me is a great store with good quality products and great customer attention,( sounds like commercial), in honor to the truth this  items don't looks like the original and for the cheap price I don't believe it

Returning to the theme, I have 2 options to install the hyfire:

1.- Keep the oem electronic module and use the mallory box as oem ignition amplifier

2.- Use my oem electronic dis as magnetic pick up to the mallory ignition

What is your advice ?

I supose that option 2 is the best way but I need to connect my dis 3 connectors to mallory 2 cables.
I already bought another dis to module harness to use from dis to mallory

Dis have 3 connectors, in mallory instructions says in other brands applications central dis connector is not used or is ground
1.- This is the first question to ground or not to ground the dis central connector, in original oem harness is grounded to the alternator but I suposed that is the ground needed byt he coil, mallory box wil be connected to the chasis ground and says that never connect ground to the block.

2.- Which of the lateral connector on the dis is the green and black connector to the mallory box, I supose that I can try both but I dont want to do a short or something, or only the engine will not start ?

thanks in advance

I will use taylor 10mm wires, mallory 29440 coil  and ngk  dp8ea spark plugs

I didnt realize that the answer is on my replacement dis, have the marks in the connector, I don't know why the dis installed on my car don't have this marks (probably is older)

Then:

left is       - (-) ground - black cable inside the dis
central is   - (0) signal - green cable inside dis
Right is      - (+) power - Red cable inside dis

I believe the ground is important to connect.

Now, what is the correct way to connect to the mallory ignition box ?

1.- ground is not a problem, harness already have the coonector for ground in the alternator housing .

2.- central or signal (green wire inside dis)  will goes to the mallory box, my first option is the green  wire at mallory box. ?

3.-  right or power (red cable inside the dis) will goes to the mallory box, the option is the black wire,   why mallory do this cable in black color Huh?

Another option or suggestion please gave me your advice, I don't want to abuse or burn the ignition.
Thanks
