Hi guys,
I was looking through ebay and came across these K&N filters for my DRLA 48's. These are really nice looking. I love the chrome tops and ONE SCREW ON TOP!!!!
I have the Cb tops with two wings nuts on them. They are kind of a pain to remove. Not too mention my filters are not K&N's I am sure!
IS anyone running these or have any experience with them? Does it have some sort of little adapter or bracket inside that converts my two threaded shafts to one?
Check out this picture! They are 80.00 each! Ouch!

They're not unusual.

Glenn,
I should have known you would have them! Where is the best place to purchase them?
     Thanks!

They're generic IDF filters, most places have them.

A quick Google search found:

K&N has an outlet store in Riverside CA just off the 91/215 near Highgrove/Grand Terrace -- they had a couple of sets there a month or so back

Just FYI, don't know if your 48 Dells will be any different, but I had to grind on my air cleaner bases to fit my 45 DRLA's.  The fuel inlet interfered with the bottom of the filter, preventing it from sitting flat on the carburetor.

Fiatdude,
Thanks, I am not far from there. Maybe a quick run out to there and save some money.
I am trying my best to be conservative with my insurance dough. It don't go very far anymore..............lol

      Bugnut,
Hey Thanks! Thats great to know. If thats the case I will just look for the K&N elements. I can live with the pita cb tops................
