I've been hearing an exhaust leak in my car the last few times I'va driven it.  Well i found it after it got really loud.  The muffler hanger on the #2 exhaust runner let go.  Along with it a 1" diameter piece of the exhaust tubing.
I was wondering if I could just take it to a muffler shop, and have a piece of tubing welded over as a patch. I really don't want to chuck this old Phoenix header. It goes so well with the engine combo.
What's your take on my idea??
