So I finally joined the Dark side, strapped on a turbo and a 4 barrel Holley.
I have been having trouble getting it to idle. after about 10 seconds it will
"cough " back up through the carb , stumble and die. i set the butterflies to where the transfer slot appeared square, tried various settings with the idle mixture screws,(around 5/8 of a turn out seemed to make the most crisp throttle response)
but i have to be somewhere around 2.5 turns out to get the best idle. but with the screws out that far, the off idle performance suffers. i recently had a very lean mix and found the silicone couplings were leaking. Now since i replaced them its getting closer, but not right. I hope someone will help shed some light!
Thanks! ...Lou  Grin

Sorry dude. I am battling the same thing on my setup.
However, I just figured out I have a huge intake leak on mysetup so I'm excited to fix it and re=test the motor.
I plugged off the inake side of the turbo and removed the rockers. I hit the manafold with compressed air and found a big leak.
Ooops..
I think I can get an idle below 2,000rpm now... Maybe...
