I have a friend that needs a motor rebuild in her '70 westy. It's been 13 plus years since I've lived up there so I don't know where to send her to get it fixed. I'm way too far away to do it myself. Anyone know who is still open. I'd post this on the samba but I'm not a samba kind of guy.

What about Discount Import Parts in Milwaukie or Beaverton? I'm not sure if they do repairs or just sell parts but they have VW restorations listed on their site. My father in law live a block from the Milwaukie location and they seem to have nice parts on their shelves, but I've never been inside.

I would avoid Halsey Imports in Portland... I don't care how long they've been around, I'm less than impressed with the owner, Walter Schmidt.
