Replaced the heads to a pair of Steve Tims stage 2's and fitted 44 Idf's and then set up the rocker geometry correctly as the guy who did the engine last time, did nt do a very good job the rockers had 3.3mm of shims under the posts and the finger was running on the upper part of the valave all the time.

I spent 3 days doing every pushrod lenght to get them spot on and got the correct valve lift for the cam and 1.25:1 rockers, plus perfect finger seep on the valves  Grin

Am really happy with it it goes very well, very torquey and revs through to 6500 -7000 very easily.

Thats impressive. What are the rest of the specs? ( Cam, Valve sizes, Exaust, Ignition)  I have a 2110 with a FK 8, 44 IDF's, CB CNC Ultra Mag 42x37, and a 4 into 1 that pulled 122hp @ 126tq and would like to get some more out of it. Sounds like you got the tune on the money.

Engine spec :
•   2110cc
•   CB 82mm Counter balanced crank
•   90.5mm Mahle piston and barrels
•   CB 5.5” “H” beam rods
•   12lb Flywheel
•   Kennedy stage 1 and cush lock centre disk
•   Web 109 cam
•   Steve Tims Stage 2 Heads 42 x 37 and matched inlets
•   Scat pro - comp 1.25 rockers
•   123 Ignition distributor
•   Weber 44 IDF’s with Steve Tims ported and re worked inlet manifolds
•   Full flow with remote oil cooler with cooling fan
1"5/8 VW speedshop exhasut system
9:1 Compression I reckon if I had gone to 10:1 or more it could have been a little more power and torque but wanted to keep it reliable as its a daily  Grin

The heads and the time setting the rockers made the biggest difference, I can't recommend Steve Tims enough for his time on the phone and advise. proper old school head tuning no CFM bench test he does the heads by feel and by eye  Wink

The red line was the old spec engine without the Tims heads and 40 IDF's,

My little 2026cc motor made ~140hp and went 10.04@135 in Busters P/M car with a little N2o.

I think everyone should try it!
