I have a question:
Pulled my motor out and found my Made in China adapter for my oil cooler was leaking. Not my rear seal like I originally thought.
So my first step is to purchase a OEM adapter now. How do you make sure after installing it that it's not going to leak on you? Any little tips or tricks you guys may have to avoid a leaky installation?

Thank you

Those Chinese adapters are total crap, have seen a few leak.........

I would just get a good used german one and bolt it up with new seals and install it.
you won't have any problems.

Thank you Darren! Yea, it was leaking pretty good! Hoping to have a dry motor next time around!
Seems anything from China I have ever bought has failed on me!
Looking for a good one now! Berg has the on Samba for 15.00! Now if I could just find the time to get over there now. They are closed on Fridays.......

Todd, make up a list of all the China crap you have now and take it to the next Pomona swap meet.  Buy all original German stuff there.
The next item on your engine that's gonna break is the China alternator stand.

HARDY HAR HAR HAR Bruce! The guy that rear ended me snapped the alternator stand in half.
And yes, it was a Chinese one too! And it leaked with my berg breather box on it.
Maybe I can get a original German one now and have it gold plated since I got my insurance check...........................................................lol

maybe Turbo next time. I got a great motor now and I still need to get the suspension set up right for this motor.
