Anybody out there have any idea why my clutch keeps slipping? I have a 2110cc with 8.3:1 compression. It's a full bodied street car with the exception of fiberglass rear fenders. I have a brand new CB chromoly lightened flywheel, I installed a brand new Scat 4-puck, and a 1700lb. KEP. Still slips like crazy in 2nd and 3rd. I changed the disc to a full circle with a solid center and still the same thing!!!! Anybody have a suggestion?Huh

Are you sure the tires arn't spinning Grin,Make sure the depth of the flywheel is 21mm and do you have about one inch of free play @ the peddle?

I just went through this and chances are it's not your clutch or flywheel.  Check your PP.  Pull it out and lay a straight edge on it.  Chances are it's concaved and not flat.  If it is'nt get it machined flat and put it back in. You should also be able to see by the burn marks on PP.  Scuff up you disc too if it is "glazed" over from slipping.

agree with  Jerry, pressure plates typically need to be resurfaced right out of the box. Always check with a straight edge.
Any oil on it, seals leaking?
Is the pressure plate and flywheel  scorched?
Does is sound like your driving through the clutch?
Should be grabbing solid a 4 puck is a pretty aggressive disc.

I just sent my pp and fw to Rimco to be resurfaced for this problem.
Flywheel had blue spots and pp looked bad so I laid it on a piece of
sandpaper on a flat surface and swirled it around, only the VERY outer
edge of pp was touching.  The funny thing is I noticed it more on the
street than I did on the drag strip, I thought I wouldve been the other
way around.                       Gary
